What is the Disney Dining Plan?
The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid dining option available with select Walt Disney Travel Company vacation packages. It provides each eligible Guest with a set number of meals and snacks based on the number of nights included in the Disney Resort hotel stay.
Rather than paying the menu price for every included item, Guests redeem dining-plan meals or snacks at participating Walt Disney World locations.
Which Disney Dining Plans are available in 2026?
Walt Disney World offers two dining-plan options for 2026:
- Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan: includes two Quick-Service meals and one snack or nonalcoholic drink per person, per night of stay.
- Disney Dining Plan: includes one Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal and one snack or nonalcoholic drink per person, per night of stay.
Both plans also include a Resort-refillable drink mug for each eligible Guest.
Who is eligible to purchase a Disney Dining Plan?
Dining plans are generally available as part of select Walt Disney Travel Company packages that include a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
The plan must usually be purchased for the entire length of the Resort stay and for every Guest on the reservation age 3 or older. Guests ages 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu when one is available.
Can I purchase a dining plan without staying at a Disney Resort?
Generally, no. Disney Dining Plans must be added to an eligible vacation package that includes accommodations at a participating Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Guests with an existing eligible reservation may be able to modify their package to add a dining plan before their trip.
How much does the Disney Dining Plan cost?
Dining-plan pricing is calculated per person, per night of the Resort stay. Adult pricing applies to Guests age 10 and older, while child pricing applies to Guests ages 3 to 9.
Package prices, promotions and dining-plan rates can change. Check your Disney vacation-package quote for the current total associated with your travel dates and party.
Is the Disney Dining Plan worth the price?
The answer depends on how your party normally eats. The plan may offer good value for Guests who regularly order higher-priced entrées, use every included snack and meal, and choose eligible beverages with their meals.
It may provide less financial value for light eaters, Guests who prefer appetizers instead of entrées, or parties that leave credits unused. Some families still prefer the plan for its convenience and predictable vacation budgeting, even when the dollar savings are modest.
Does every Walt Disney World restaurant accept the Dining Plan?
No. Dining plans are accepted only at participating restaurants, kiosks and food-service locations. Participation can also differ by plan, meal period or dining experience.
Always verify that a location accepts your specific plan before ordering or confirming a dining reservation. Restaurant participation is subject to change.
Where can Disney Dining Plan meals be used?
Participating locations can be found throughout Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs and Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
Some participating restaurants are located inside a theme park. Valid theme-park admission—and a park reservation when required— is necessary to dine at those locations.
What is included with a Quick-Service meal?
A qualifying Quick-Service meal generally includes:
- One entrée
- One eligible nonalcoholic beverage—or an eligible alcoholic beverage for Guests age 21 or older
Eligible items and substitutions can vary by location. Look for Disney’s Dining Plan symbol on the menu or ask a Cast Member before ordering.
What is included with a Table-Service meal?
A Table-Service breakfast generally includes one entrée and one eligible beverage, or one qualifying buffet or family-style meal.
Brunch, lunch and dinner generally include one entrée, one dessert and one eligible beverage, or one qualifying buffet or family-style meal.
Guests age 21 or older may select an eligible alcoholic beverage where offered. Specialty items and enhancements may require an additional charge.
Do Signature Dining restaurants use more than one meal?
Some Fine or Signature Dining restaurants, Character Dining experiences and dinner shows redeem two Table-Service meals per person.
Not every premium experience participates in the Dining Plan. Check the restaurant’s current Dining Plan terms before making a reservation.
What items qualify as Disney Dining Plan snacks?
Eligible snacks are generally single-serving items identified by Disney’s Dining Plan snack symbol. Examples may include:
- Ice cream novelties or fruit bars
- Single servings of popcorn
- Whole fruit
- Eligible fountain drinks or bottled beverages
- Single-serve coffee, tea or hot chocolate
- Select bakery items, soups and festival items
Multi-serving packages, souvenir containers and merchandise generally do not qualify as snacks.
Are alcoholic beverages included?
Guests age 21 or older may select one eligible alcoholic beverage with a qualifying Quick-Service or Table-Service meal at locations that offer alcohol.
Valid identification is required. Specialty cocktails, souvenir containers, full bottles and some premium beverages may not be included.
Are gratuities included in the Disney Dining Plan?
Gratuities are generally not included and should be paid separately. An automatic 18% gratuity is typically added for parties of six or more.
Certain prepaid dining experiences may include gratuity. Review the terms of the individual restaurant or experience before dining.
Do I need dining reservations when using the plan?
A dining plan does not guarantee restaurant availability. Advance reservations are strongly recommended for popular Table-Service, Character Dining and Signature Dining locations.
Dining reservations can generally be made beginning 60 days before arrival. Disney Resort hotel Guests may make reservations for the length of their stay, up to Disney’s published booking limit.
Do meal and snack credits have to be used each day?
No. Your meals and snacks are issued based on the number of nights in your package, but they do not have to be used on a fixed daily schedule.
Unused meals and snacks roll over from day to day and remain available until midnight on the day you check out.
Can unused meal credits be shared or transferred?
Disney states that meals and snacks are nontransferable between members of the travel party. Guests should use credits according to the age category and entitlements connected to their reservation.
Ask a Cast Member how credits will be redeemed before placing a large or combined order.
How can I check my remaining meals and snacks?
You can review your remaining Dining Plan balance by:
- Opening “My Resort Stay” in the My Disney Experience app and selecting “Check Dining Plan”
- Reviewing your most recent dining receipt
- Asking a Cast Member at your Disney Resort hotel or a Guest Relations location
Can the Dining Plan accommodate food allergies?
Many Walt Disney World restaurants offer allergy-friendly menus or can discuss special dietary needs. However, allergy-friendly availability and eligible Dining Plan substitutions vary by restaurant.
Note dietary requests when making reservations and speak with a Cast Member or chef before ordering. A Dining Plan icon should not be treated as an allergy-safety designation.
How do I redeem a meal or snack?
Tell the cashier or server that you are using a Disney Dining Plan before ordering. The appropriate meals or snacks will then be redeemed from the balance connected to your Resort reservation.
Review the transaction before completing it, especially when ordering items that may not be included or when dining with multiple Resort reservations.
Can Dining Plan availability or restaurant participation change?
Yes. Disney may change plan pricing, package eligibility, restaurant participation, eligible menu items, meal components and operating schedules.
